7 Week Yoga For Dancers Immersive Course

We start with breathing exercises (PRANAYAMA) to help center the mind and body.
The bulk of class consisits of the asanas, midfully adressing alignment variations and relieving tension related pain. We then move into a vigorous vinyasa fused with pilates and plyometrics to strengthening and lengthening the hips, back, core and legs, improving your dance body awareness and control.
The class ends with a few passive/yin poses to further stretch & cool down the body,
a guided visualization body scan meditation, 7 metal Sound Bowl Healing and an OM.

Bring your own mat and comfortable clothes you can move in.

ABOUT THE TEACHER:
Stephanie L. is certified in yoga RYTT, group fitness (AFAA) and personal training (NASM), est 2013. She has 8 years of teaching experience as the CEO and Founder of UrbanYogaNYC, and 25 years as a professional dancer in NYC. Her approach is integrative, mindful yet challenging, efficient and effective, designed for the typical New Yorker.
